Guy G. Wiesner, 81, of 437 Mark Street, St. Marys, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Penn Highlands Elk.

He was born on November 20, 1935, in St. Marys, a son of the late Guy J. and Irma Bruni Wiesner.

On October 6, 1962 in St. Stanislaus Church in Tyler, he married Mary L. Kostecki Wiesner, who survives.  He was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of St. Marys Church

In addition to his wife of more than 55 years, Mary L. Kostecki Wiesner, he is survived by a son, Michael Wiesner of St. Marys, by a daughter, Debbie (James) Katelan of Bel Air, MD, and by four grandchildren, Ryan, Taylor, Michaela, and Nathan.

Guy served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1955-1957.  He retired from Stackpole Carbon Company after more than 25 years of service, and was also a member of their Quarter Century Club.  He was a member of the Elks and enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to camp, and gardening.  He also enjoyed going for walks with his friends and was an avid sports fan who loved all the Pittsburgh teams, especially the Penguins.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Wiesner.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Guy G. Wiesner will be celebrated on Friday, October 13, 2017, at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Church, Church Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, OSB, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Military Honors will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail.

There will be no visitation.

Memorial Contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
