Margaret M. "Peg" Anthony, 83, of 837 Johnsonburg Road, St. Marys, died on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.

She was born on April 28, 1933, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Edward and Petronella Leuschel Brehm.

On December 16, 1973 in Virginia, she married Lawrence "Larry" Anthony, who survives.

Peg was a lifelong resident of the area and was Catholic by faith.  She had been a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and enjoyed raising her plants.  She was also fond of her cat, Sugar, and yard sales.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Larry Anthony, she is survived by two sons, Mark (Bekki) Titchner of Ridgway and Dwayne (Penny) Titchner of St. Marys, and by eight grandchildren, Tracey (Andrew) Heydeck, Dr. Timothy (Denicia) Titchner, Dr. Michael (Anne) Titchner, Rebecca (Christopher Wright) Titchner, Devin Titchner, Nicholas Titchner, Cassie (Joe Kreckel) Titchner, and Jason (Jennifer) Eastman, and by 9 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by a brother, Pierre "Skip" Brehm of Arizona and by a daughter-in-law, Louise Titchner of Virginia.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Titchner, by four grandchildren, Daniel Titchner, Gregory Titchner, Abigail Titchner, and David Titchner, by a brother Anthony "Bootsie" Brehm, and by a sister, Colleen Keller.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret M. Anthony will be celebrated on Monday, March 20, 2017, at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Church with Rev. Alfred Patterson, OSB, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.


Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Marys Church or to a favorite charity.
