Mary Kay Schneider, 71, of 72 Erie Avenue, St. Marys, died on Friday morning, April 15, 2016 at her home following an extended illness.

She was born on July 27, 1944, a daughter of the late Edward and Allene Russell Thompson.

On October 14, 1977 in St. Marys Church, she married Kenneth Schneider, who preceded her in death on July 27, 1998.

Mary Kay was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Queen of the World Church.  Always known for making people feel good, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.  

She is survived by two sons, Roderick Dippold and Rick (Suzanna Pellam) Dippold both of St. Marys, and by three grandchildren, Krista Dippold, Rachelle Dippold and Emily Dippold, as well as by a great-granddaughter, McKenna.  She is also survived by a sister, Patricia Fritz of St. Marys.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Kay Schneider will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at 10:00 AM at Queen of the World Church with Rev. Richard Allen, officiating.
There will be no visitation.

Interment will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
