Richard L. "Rick" Lindenmuth, Sr., 62, of 1300 Million Dollar Highway, Kersey, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at his home.

He was born on June 17, 1954, in St. Marys, a son of the late C. Joyce Byrd Lindenmuth and John L. Lindenmuth, Sr., who survives of St. Marys.

Rick was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, class of 1973.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the U.S. Navy.  He worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office for more than 34 years.  He enjoyed sports, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.  He also enjoyed basketball and doing yardwork.

In addition to his father, John L. Lindenmuth, Sr., he is survived by two sons, Richard L. (Amy) Lindenmuth, Jr., of Hawaii and Charles E. (Jeni) Lindenmuth of Kentucky and by two grandchildren, Kloe and Lia.  He is also survived by two brothers, John Lindenmuth, Jr., of Bradford, Daniel (Susan) Lindenmuth, St. Marys, one sister, Margie Palmer, of St. Marys, and by a niece and nephew, Amanda Lindenmuth and Joshua Lindenmuth.

He was preceded in death by his mother, C. Joyce Byrd Lindenmuth.

Funeral Services for Richard L. Lindenmuth, Sr. will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Lynch-Green Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Brunner officiating.
Military Honors will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
