Rita M. Schloder, 99, formerly of 329 N. Michael Street, St. Marys, died on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Pinecrest Manor.

She was born on January 29, 1917, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Edward and Josephine Pilz Jacob.

On June 26, 1946 in St. Marys Church, she married the late Raymond J. Schloder, who preceded her in death on September 22, 1995.

Mrs. Schloder was a member of St. Marys Church.  Her education was through St. Benedict's Academy until it closed in 1936.  Her family was her life and she enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds and looking for deer.  Though she loved visiting different places, her heart was always loyal to St. Marys,

She is survived by a son, Paul Schloder and his wife Julie of Florida and by two daughters, Leah Dippold and her sweetheart Ed Badeau of Sterling Run and Anne Schloder and her partner Dan DeWolf of Framingham, MA.  She is also survived by two grandchildren, Emily Dippold of St. Marys and Zach Dippold of Dubois, as well as by two great-grandchildren, Mason and Mya Floravit.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Schneider and by her grandson-in-law, Timothy Floravit.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Rita M. Schloder will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at 12:00 PM at St. Marys Church, 315 Church Street, St. Marys with Rev. Ross Miceli, officiating.
Interment will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM.
