Wilma M. Caskey, 83, of 410 Eben Road, St. Marys, died on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Highland View Health Care in Brockway following a short illness.

She was born on October 30, 1933, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Harold and Esther Schneider Shadd.

On January 3, 1953 in Sacred Heart Church, she married Thomas J. Caskey, who preceded her in death on July 18, 2006.

Mrs. Caskey was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Central High School, class of 1951.  She retired from Stackpole Carbon Company after numerous years of service.  She enjoyed reading, traveling, and trips to Salamanca.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth (Mike) Kronenwetter of St. Marys, Stephanie (Bud) Campbell of Kingsport, TN, Debbie (Joe) Newell of St. Marys, by two sons, Kevin (Mary) Caskey of Manassas, VA and Melvin (Ann) Caskey of St. Marys, by 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by a son-in-law, Shawn Malone of Roanoke, VA, and by two sisters, Nancy Wykoff and Marion (Lynn) Denio, both of St. Marys, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Malone, three brothers, Harold, Kenny, and David Shadd, and by a sister, Eileen Garner.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Wilma M. Caskey will be celebrated on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Church, Church Street, St. Marys, PA with Rev. Alfred Patterson, OSB, officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Marys Church, Elk County Catholic School System or to the Shriner's Hospitals.
