Dear Darcy and family, we learned of the loss of your father, Mr. Jerome Hanes, recently. Sousan and I want to express our condolences and know that he is at peace. If there is any thing we can do to ease your loss please let us know. In lieu of flowers, we will gladly make a donation to his favorite charity.

Hi Sousan and Al,

Thank you for the kind words, friends always make these times a little easier. My father was a volunteer fireman for 59 years and was still active when he passed away, so his charity is his second home.....the St. Marys Crystal Fire Department. Unfortunately my small home town hasn't gone digital, the address is:
Crystal Fire Department
319 Erie Avenue
St. Marys, PA 15857
Thanks again,
Darcy, Joe, Ryan

P.S. I am retiring the end of November and moving on to other things.....my personal e-mail is dhanes0603@gmail.com and my cell is 202-253-2434. Hopefully the next time you are in town we can all get together...including Keith and Peter....and rub in the fact that we are retired!!!

I am so sorry for your loss. May the God of all comfort be with you during this difficult time. I have personally found comfort in the promise at 1 Corinthians 15:26, where it states that very soon death will be brought to nothing, Then we will have the prospect of being reunited with our loved ones right here on earth. (John 5:28, 29) I truly hope this brings you comfort and peace. With deepest sympathy for you and your family.

Kathryn and Steve, so sorry for your loss. Jerry was a friend of mine for over 70 years as we grew up together on Charles Street. Will never forget the good times we had then.

Hanes Family,
Jerry was one of the first people I met when I started at Keystone many years ago. I always enjoyed his wit and sarcastic sense of humor. Very sorry to hear of his passing--thoughts and prayers to your entire family.
