Joseph J. Asti, 74, of 228 Parkview Road, St. Marys, died on Monday, August 14, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness.

He was born on March 2, 1943, in Johnsonburg, a son of the late Samuel and Genevieve Mucci Asti.

On May 14, 1982 in Ridgway, he married Lorraine Dietz Asti, who survives.

Joe was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Johnsonburg High School, class of 1961.  Over the years, he worked at Stackpole and retired from Metaldyne.  He was most recently employed at ATA, which he genuinely enjoyed.  He enjoyed computers and electronics, and was very good troubleshooter.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family and his pets.

In addition to his wife of 35 years, Lorraine Dietz Asti, he is survived by four brothers, Samuel (Rita) Asti, Jr., Frank (Joann) Asti, Donald (Ellen) Asti, all of St. Marys, and Richard (Carol) Asti of Anderson, SC.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services for Joseph J. Asti will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Lynch-Green Funeral Home with Fr. Jeff Noble officiating.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home from 9:30 until 11:00 AM.
Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Community Nurses, Inc., or to Hahne Cancer Center.
