Leonard A. Facchine, 86, of 133 Woodland Road, St. Marys, died suddenly at his home on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.

He was born on July 11, 1930, in Caledonia, a son of the late Alphonse and Elizabeth Baruffalo Facchine.

On September 10, 1960 in St. Marys Church, he married Nadine Stebick Facchine, who survives.

Mr. Facchine was a lifelong resident of the area and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War..  He served from 1952-1954 and was awarded 2 bronze stars.  He retired in 1992 from Stackpole Carbon after many years of service.  He was a member of St. Marys Church where he also served as an usher and worked Bingo. He was a proud member of the Bennetts Valley Legion for more than 60 years.  He enjoyed his family and going to camp.

In addition to his wife of nearly 57 years, Nadine Stebick Facchine, he is survived by a daughter, Donna (Tom) Ott and a son, Robert Facchine both of St. Marys,  He is also survived by a brother, Louis Facchine of St. Marys, a sister, Vera Hetrick of Byrnedale, a step-brother, Terry Shannon of St. Marys, a step-sister-in-law, Sally Shannon of Brockway, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Lena Shannon Facchine, a sister, Esther Longo, 2 brothers-in-law, David Hetrick and Don Longo, and by a sister-in-law, Ann Facchine.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Leonard A. Facchine will be celebrated on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 12:00 PM at St. Marys Church, Church Street, St. Marys, PA with Rev. Alfred Patterson, OSB, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail or to the Community Nurses.
