Maurice L. Coudriet, Jr., 74, of 1523 Rosely Road, St. Marys, died on Monday, January 1, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following an unexpected illness.

He was born on October 30, 1943, in Clearfield, a son of the late Maurice Coudriet, Sr. and Mary Porter Coudriet.

On August 7, 1965 in St. Marys Church, he married the love of his life, Sandra Buerk Coudriet, who survives.

Mr. Coudriet was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of St. Marys High School.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1961-1964.  He retired from the paper mill in Johnsonburg after many years of service.  He was a member of the PFL and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He could be found almost daily at Monica's Restaurant, and enjoyed visiting his daughter there.  He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of more than 52 years, Sandra Buerk Coudriet, he is survived by a daughter, Monica Welsh and her husband Bob Kerchinski of St. Marys, by four sons, Bill (Kim) Coudriet of Cleveland, Maurice Coudriet, III and his fiance Pam Brunelli, Michael (Billie Jo) Coudriet and John (Kerrie) Coudriet all of St. Marys, and by eight grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.  He is also survived by two brothers, Robert (Paula) Coudriet of St. Marys and Daniel (Stacy) Coudriet of Kersey, and by two sisters, Joyce (Randy) Speas of Idaho Falls, ID, and Sandie Volovar of Morganton, WV, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services for Maurice L. Coudriet will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 1:30 PM at Shiloh Presbyterian Church, 217 Washington Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Rev. Scott Weist, Pastor, officiating.  Military Honors will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
