Bradley A. Benson Sr., 67, of Johnsonburg, died unexpectedly at Penn Highlands Elk on May 9, 2023.
He was born on August 4, 1955, in Ridgway, a Son of the late Arnold and Mabel Fitch Benson.
On September 29, 1978, he married Diane "Bobbie" Lenox Benson, who preceded him in death on March 16, 2011.
Bradley was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School class of 1973, and then went on to serve in the U.S. Army. He worked as a Truck Driver for many years for various area companies. In his free time, Brad loved to ride his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He also greatly enjoyed farming and fishing. Brad loved spending time with his family more than anything.
He is survived by 5 children; Brad "Benny" Benson and his wife Erica of Danville, Jesse Benson of Dubois, Bobby Benson of Dubois, Jamie Benson of Connellsville, and Brandy Benson of Dubois.; and by his 6 beloved grandchildren; Caleb, Audie, Kaylee, Riley, Leah, and Brady. He is also survived by 3 siblings; Arla Weible of Johnsonburg, Dennis Benson of Waynesburg, and Dean Benson and his wife Dolley of Johnsonburg.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Bradley was preceded in death by 4 siblings; Patricia Smith, Evelyn Benson, William Benson, and Gregory Benson, and by a brother-in-law; Louie Weible.
Funeral Services for Bradley A. Benson Sr. are being held privately at the convenience of the family.
Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
