Darlene Thomas Obituary

Darlene M. Thomas, 63, of 1461 Bucktail Road, St. Marys, died on Friday, January 28, 2022 at her home following a lengthy illness.

She was born on November 25, 1958, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Harry E. Carr who preceded her in death on April 4, 2020  and Marian Selle Carr, who survives of St. Marys.

Darlene was a 1976 graduate of St. Marys Area High School and then received a degree in Data Administration from Pitt Bradford in 1978.  She worked for many years at the St. Marys Police Department, and also worked for a number of years at Hoss's.
Darlene enjoyed time spent around her pool while reading a good book.  She could often be found camping, bowling, or enjoying a good game of cards, especially Cinch.  One of her greatest accomplishments in life was being a grandmother, and she loved spending time with her family and her granddaughter.  With a strong-will and determination, Darlene loved and cared about everyone else first, and will be remembered for her kindness and big heart.

In addition to her mother; Marian Selle Carr, she is survived by one son; Shawn Thomas and his wife Malia of Ashburn, VA, her beloved granddaughter; Parker, and by her longtime fiance, Dan Radaelli.  She is also survived by two brothers; Harold Carr of St. Marys and Martin Carr of Virginia and by her extended family of in-laws; Lori (Rick) Wehler, Missy (Ed) Herbstritt, Randy Radaelli, Jim Radaelli, and Steve (Geo Glen) Radaelli as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and by her mother-in-law and father-in-law; Ronald and Anna Bella Radaelli.
