Eleanor M. "Nonie" Krug

Eleanor M. "Nonie" Krug, 84, of 966 Windfall Road, St. Marys, died on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Penn Highlands Elk.
She was born on March 8, 1937, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Robert and Alice Caskey Goodrow.

On  August 22, 1954 in Sacred Heart Church, she married the late William A. Krug, Jr., who preceded her in death on September 7, 1997.

Nonie was a lifelong resident of the area and member of Sacred Heart Church.  She worked for many years at the Elk Casino.  In her free time, Nonie enjoyed western movies, going on trips, and going shopping.  She also enjoyed playing games on her computer and in years past, she enjoyed trips to the casino with her sister.  Most of all, Nonie loved and adored her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light and love of her life.

She is survived by two daughters; Alice Eckert and her husband Mark and Chrisie Sherry and her husband Stephen "Shorty" both of St. Marys, and by one son; Robert Krug and his wife Shari of St. Marys.  She was a devoted grandmother to 6 grandchildren; Courtney (Joe) Lenze, Nathan (Mary Beth) Eckert, Tim (Courtney) Sherry, Tom Sherry, Jamie (Michael) Caskey, and Jonathan Krug and to 9 great-grandchildren; Natalie, Vinnie, Grady, Maleya, Jensyn, Sawyer, Alex, Jackson, and Riley.  She is also survived by her longtime companion; Bob Gesin of St. Marys, and by numerous nieces and nephews; including two special nieces; Patty Salter and Linda Wolf.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister; Helen "Sissy" Johnston and a sister-in-law; Mary Delcine Krug.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Eleanor M. "Nonie" Krug will be celebrated on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church, 337 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Rev. Thomas Curry, OSB, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on  Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Hahne Cancer Center, St. Jude Children's Research Center, or to the American Cancer Society.
