Elizabeth A. Geci

Elizabeth A. "Liz" Geci, 93, of 74 Erie Avenue, St. Marys, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Elk Haven Nursing Home. 

She was born on March 11, 1931 in St. Marys, PA, a daughter of the late John and Catherine Garbic Geci.

Liz was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. She graduated from St. Marys Public High School Class of 1949, and retired on November 30, 1993 from GTE Sylvania after 27½ years of service.

Liz is survived by one brother, David “Jimmy” Geci of Austin, PA, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers; William, Joseph, George “Bucky”,  John, Jr. , Rudy, Ivan, and Paul in infancy, along with four sisters; Ilene Geyer, Margaret "Mitzie" DiNardo, Joann Geci and Mary Cunningham.

Liz will be fondly remembered by all who knew her, for her endless sense of humor, which lasted to her final days.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Elizabeth A. "Liz" Geci will be celebrated on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 337 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857, with Rev. Thomas Curry OSB, Pastor, as Celebrant.

Burial will follow in the St Marys Catholic Cemetery.

There will be no visitation per her request.
