Janet P. Stebick

Janet P. Stebick, 77, of N. St. Marys Road, St. Marys, died on Thursday, August 4, 2022.

She was born on August 3, 1945, a daughter of the late Joseph and Martina Hanes Price.

On December 28, 1963, she married the late Kenneth A. Stebick, who preceded her in death on August 12, 2003.  Together they shared nearly 40 years of marriage.

Janet was a member of St. Marys Church and was a member of the first graduating class of Elk County Christian High School, class of 1963.  She retired from Powdered Metal Products after many years of service, then went on to work part time at Kreckel Enterprises.  Janet could often be found listening to Johnny Cash, and she also enjoyed traveling and her pets.  Most of all, she cherished her family and friends and loved spending time with them.

She is survived by four children; Sharon (Mike Stahl) Stebick of Ridgway, Sally (Jeff Viglione) Covac of Ridgway, Timothy (Divonna) Stebick of Hanover and John Stebick of St. Marys and by 5 grandchildren; Samantha Covac, Michael Covac, Jonathan Stebick, Jarrod Stebick and Alec Stebick.  She is also survived by a brother; Thomas (Jean) Price of St. Marys, two sisters-in-law; Christine “Teenie” Stebick and Nadine Facchine, and by a brother-in-law; Ed (Patty) Stebick, all of St. Marys as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother; Robert Price, two nephews; Doug Price and Donald Stebick, a niece; Stephanie Lecker-Garner, and by her in-laws; Alfred and Geraldine Stebick.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Janet P. Stebick will be celebrated on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the St. Marys Church, 315 Church Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Fr. Michael Gabler, OSB officiating.

Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 2:00-5:00 PM.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Marys Church.
