Jason Swanson Obituary

Jason P. Swanson, 47, of 856 Brandy Camp Road, Kersey, died on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Penn Highlands DuBois following a brief illness.

He was born on August 17, 1974, in State College, a son of Paul and Peggy Volovar Swanson, who survive of Kersey.

On September 14, 1996 in St. Joseph's in Force, he married Melissa Watkavitch Swanson, who survives.

Jason was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, class of 1993.  He was a member of St. Boniface Church and had owned and operated Ridgeview Dairy Farm with his family for many years.  He was also a member of the Elk County Farmer's Association.  A passionate and dedicated farmer, Jason loved farming and his dairy cows.  Throughout the years, he loved spending time with his son building trucks and going to truck pulls.  He also enjoyed hunting with his son.  Jason always encouraged his children and enjoyed barrel races and horse shows with his triplet daughters.  Most of all, he adored his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

In addition to his parents; Paul and Peggy Volovar Swanson and his wife of more than 25 years, Melissa Watkavitch Swanson, he is survived by triplet daughters, Alexis, Alexandria, and Adrianna, and by one son; Jacob Swanson, all of Kersey. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother; Virginia Volovar, and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; George and Elvira Swanson and by his maternal grandparents; Clarence Volovar and Esther Gregory Volovar.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jason P. Swanson will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 1:00 PM at St. Boniface Church, Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846 with Rev. Ross Miceli, Pastor, officiating.

There will be no public visitation.

Interment will follow  in Ridge Cemetery.
