Jeanne Brem Obituary

Jeanne M. Brem, 86, of 1770 Bucktail Road, St. Marys, died on Monday, September 06, 2021 at Pinecrest Manor following a short battle with cancer.

She was born on July 25, 1935, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Joseph and Loretta Eckert Wolfe.

On September 3, 1955 in Queen of the World Church, she married the late Edward Brem, who preceded her in death on September 27, 1970.

Jeanne was a lifelong member of Queen of the World Church, where she served for many years as a Eucharistic Minister.  She was also active with the St. Anne's Society.  Over the years, she was employed as a nurse's aide, at Stackpole Carbon Company, and for the Parochial School.  Jeanne was a talented upholsterer and spent her free time gardening, canning, and playing cards.  Her grandchildren were the light and love of her life, and she enjoyed nothing more than family gatherings and attending the various sporting events of her grandchildren.

She is survived by four sons; Rick Brem and his wife Sue of St. Marys, Thomas Brem and his wife Sharon of King George, VA, Randy Brem and his wife Elaine of St. Marys and Tim Brem and his wife Jenny of St. Marys, and by one daughter; Mary McLaughlin and her husband John of Weedville.  She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren; Ed (Kate) Brem, Jennifer Brem, Kimberly (Ryan) Staiger, Andrea (Brad Pontious) Brem, Nicole Brem, Jarrod Brem, Stacey (Tom) Kaveney, Adam (Kassie) Brem, Justin (Torie) Brem, Josh (Hannah McGowan) Brem, Jeremy (Jackie) Brem, Jessica (Tyler) Hotham, and Joe (Karly) McLaughlin and by 15 great-grandchildren; Liam, Milo, Keegan, Wyatt, Landry, Kade, Lydia, Charlie, Bella, Reese, Harper, June, Sadie, Payton, and Daxon.  She is also survived by a sister; Doris Woelfel and by two brothers; David (Florence) Wolfe and James Wolfe, all of St. Marys, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews  

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers; Vincent, Joseph, Dennis, and Alvin Wolfe, and by one sister; Rose Anne Mahovlich.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jeanne M. Brem will be celebrated on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Rev. Jeffery Noble, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Pinecrest Manor Activities Fund, Queen of the World Church, or to a favorite local sports organization.
