Obituary
Kathleen A. O’Connor, 50, of 156 Maurus Street, St. Marys, quietly went to Jesus on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
She was born on January 24, 1972, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Donald and Etha Leithner Gahr.
On October 4, 1996, she married the love of her life, Mark O’Connor. Together they shared nearly 26 years of love and laughter.
Kathy was a graduate of St. Marys High School, class of 1990. She proudly received her Bachelor’s Degree from Gannon University in Psychology. She worked for a number of years at LIFT (Life and Independence for Today) and at Service Access Management in DuBois, Pa. She was most recently employed at Fox Manor in Kersey as the Building Manager.
Kathy enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows, a good Hallmark movie, and spending time with her family. She was a quiet and affectionate wife, mother, and sister, and yet she was a special person to all she met.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter and best friend; Caitlyn O’Connor, at home. She is also survived by three sisters; Marie Gahr and Linda Gahr of St. Marys, and Diane (Jeff) Foglebach of Chester, VA, as well as by one niece and one nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister; Jean Gahr, and by two sisters in infancy; Mary Ann and Patricia.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Kathleen A. O’Connor will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at St. Marys Church, 315 Church Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, OSB officiating.
Family and friends will be received at the St. Marys Church on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 9:30 AM until the time of the Mass.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
