Klaus-Peter Heim, 72, of Weedville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois following a brief illness.
He was born on July 26, 1950 in Frankfurt, Germany, a son of the late Peter and Wally Seim Heim.
On August 14, 1971, at St. Joseph's Church in Lancaster, he married Susan Heim, who survives of Weedville. Together they shared more than 51 years of love, laughter, and adventures.
Klaus-Peter was a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and furthered his education to obtain his doctorate. He traveled the world as a wine sommelier, visiting many countries and vineyards over the years. He was a member of the American Sommelier Association. Over the years, he also worked as a Ranger at the PA Dutch Campground. He was very active with the Knights of Columbus, serving as a 4th Degree Knight. He was also instrumental in forming new counsels throughout Pennsylvania. A loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Klaus-Peter was a hard worker who enjoyed carpentry and electrical work. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife Susan Heim, he is survived by 3 children; Beth Heim of Weedville, Peter Heim of Weedville, and Christopher (Jamie) Heim of Mt. Joy; and by his 8 beloved grandchildren.
He is also survived by a brother; Gerhard (Pat) Heim of Willowstreet, PA and by a sister; Jane-Helen Heim of Rochester, Ny and by several nieces and nephews.
