Nathaniel Poirier Obituary

Nathaniel A. "Nat" Poirier, 36, of Kersey, Pa, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 13, 2021 in Butler, Pa.

He was born on September 24, 1984, in DuBois, a son of the late Norman P. Poirier and Corrine Dinsmore Poirier, who survives of Kersey.

Nat was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, class of 2003.  He then graduated from I-Tech with a degree in machining, and worked throughout his life as a machinist.  In his younger years, he was involved with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.  Nat loved to make people laugh and had a heart of gold.  Nat's struggle has ended, and he will be fondly remembered for his kindness and his family asks that you hold your loved ones close and always let your children know how much you love them.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother; Charles Poirier and his wife Kelly of Kersey and by his twin brother; Nicolas Poirier and his wife Randi of Irwin.  He is also survived by nieces and nephews; Rylie Poirier, Brynn Poirier, Elliott Poirier, Eric Wehler, Katie Wehler, and Megan Wehler and by several aunts and uncles; Pat Dinsmore, Robert Poirier, Raymond Poirier, and Doris Moore, as as by numerous cuosins and friends.

In addition to his father, Norman Poirier, who preceded him in death on January 1, 2007, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Charles and Nancy Dinsmore and by his paternal grandparents; Louis and Cecile Poirier.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Nathaniel A. "Nat" Poirier will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at 10:00 AM at St. Boniface Church, 355 Main Street, Kersey, Pa 15846 with Rev. Ros Miceli, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Memorial Contributions may be made to South Side Park Group, 221 Thornwood Drive, Butler, PA 16001.
