Rose Mary Geer

Rose Mary Geer, 90, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of Fox Road, St. Marys, died on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Pinecrest Manor.

She was born on February 26, 1932, in Ridgway, PA, a daughter of the late John and Susan Jacobs Dickant.

She was married to the late Richard Rieder, who preceded her in death in 1978.  In 1988, she married the late John R. Geer, he preceded her in death on October 19, 2017.

Rose was a graduate of Ridgway High School and member of St. Marys Church.  She retired from Elk Haven after many years of dedicated care as a CNA.  In her free time, she enjoyed baking, crafts, and playing cards.  Years ago, she also enjoyed decorating her home and spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters; Marcia Meyer and her husband Bill and Charlene Yetzer, both of St. Marys, and by 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by two sisters; Mary Rita Simons of Franklin and Sister Mary Perpetua of Erie.

In addition to her first and second husbands, she was preceded in death by three children; Renee Rieder, Ronnie Rieder, and Randy Rieder.  She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law; Randy Yetzer, by two brothers; John Dickant and Thomas Dickant, and by two sisters; Agnes Rafolski and Margaret Schatz.

A mass of Christian Burial for Rose Mary Geer will be celebrated on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St, Marys Church, 315 Church Street, St. Marys, PA  15857 with Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, OSB, officiating.  Interment will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
