Charles Tesauro, Jr., 85, of 438 Evers Avenue, St. Marys, died on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Pinecrest Manor.

He was born on August 24, 1930, a son of the late Charles, Sr. and Mini Lewis Tesauro.

On  June 23, 1950, in Penfield, he married Betty J. Huff Tesauro, who survives.

Mr. Tesauro was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of First United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed Pirates baseball, hunting, fishing, and gardening.  He also liked to knit and was active with the Bells of St. Marys, always enjoying a square dance with his wife.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and his pets,

In addition to his wife of more than 66 years, he is survived by a daughter, Diane (Fred) Krug of St. Marys, a daughter-in-law, Jean Tesauro of Emporium, four grandchildren, Cory (Stephanie Freed) Krug of San Francisco, Kristy (Kevin) Costanzo of Pittsburgh, Jason (Leah) Smith of Washington, Jill (Cindy Shen) Smith of Maryland and by one great-grandchild, Alexia Smith.
He is also survived by a brother: Michael (Janice) Tesauro of Force, a sister, Rosemary (Exper) Fox of Caledonia, and by a brother-in-law, Arthur Kear of Weedville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Tesauro on March 15, 2001 and Charles "Carmen" Tesauro on April 29, 2010, an infant daughter, Sue Ann Tesauro in 1964, and by a sister, Arbutus Kear.

Funeral Services for Charles Tesauro, Sr. will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016, at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Tim Hoover officiating.
Interment will follow in St Marys Protestant Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.


Memorial Contributions may be made to the Community Nurses, Community Nurses Hospice, First United Methodist Church or to the Elk County Humane Society.
