Dorothy J. Witherow, 97, a resident of Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys, and formerly of the Ridgway Commons in Ridgway, died on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Pinecrest Manor following a brief illness.

She was born on September 3, 1918, in McKeesport, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Winders Paris.

On November 22, 1938 in Brookville, PA, she married Charles E. Witherow, who preceded her in death on July 19, 1989.

Mrs. Witherow was a longtime resident of the area and enjoyed crocheting and word search puzzles.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Joetta Keener and her companion Doug Morgan, Steven Keener, and Shawn (Kelly) Keener, all of Ridgway.  She is also survived by her twin sister, Dolores Corbett of St. Marys, by her son-in-law, Donald Keener of Ridgway and by two great-grandchildren, Randy and Chase.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, JoAnn Keener in 2002 an by twin great-grandsons, Alexander and Andrew,

Funeral Services for Dorothy J. Witherow are being held privately and at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Lake City Cemetery.
